Airbus A350 business class is getting a makeover

Flying has always been a method of transportation for the wealthier, but when it came to business class, only the rich, or highly employed could take up the seats.
Well first class has just been upgraded a little bit, and from the looks of this it goes way beyond from what was expected. Talk here of the Airbus A350 and its
general first class upgrade into pure luxury. Finally flying will actually be fun and with the features that the business class will get, I want to fly more often, heck I’ll
even live there. Some of the new features include space but mostly what is emphasized are electronics. The

Standing Seats ?

The airlines have come up with a new answer to an old question: How many passengers can be squeezed into economy class? A lot more, it turns out, especially if
an idea still in the early stage catches on: Standing-room-only “seats.” Airbus has been pitching the standing-room-only option to Asian carriers, though none has
agreed to it. Passengers in the standing section would be propped against a padded backboard, held in place with a harness, according to experts who have seen
a proposal. But even short of that option, carriers have been slipping another row or two of seats into coach by exploiting stronger, lighter materials developed by
seat manufacturers

Boeing to take on Airbus with (1000 seat) giant 797 Blended Wing plane (Rumor)

..Boeing is preparing a 1000 passenger jet that could reshape the Air
travel industry for the next 100 years. The radical Blended Wing design
has been developed by Boeing in cooperation with the NASA Langley
Research Center. The mammoth plane will have a wing span of 265 feet
compared to the 747’s 211 feet, and is designed to fit within the newly
created terminals used for the 555 seat Airbus A380, which is 262 feet
wide. The new 797 is in direct response to the Airbus A380 which has
racked up159 orders, but has not yet flown any passengers…..Boeing

Boeing superfreighter takes shape in Taiwan

The first of the superfreighters that will ferry pieces of the 787 across the
globe is now nearing completion in Taiwan. These previously
unpublished company photos convey the magnitude of the modification
work involved in transforming the used 747s into oversized delivery
vehicles. Evergreen Aviation Technologies is modifying the planes in a 3-
acre maintenance hangar at Taipei”s Chiang Kai-Shek International
Airport. Boeing has commissioned three of the superfreighters that will
carry 787 wings from Nagoya, Japan, to Everett, as well as fuselage
sections from Grottaglie, Italy; Wichita, Kan.; and Charleston, S.C. This
used 747 first had its entire upper fuselage and tail removed. In

After Complaints, Airbus Says It Will Consider Altering Jet

PARIS, April 10 - Airbus said Monday said that after receiving complaints
from potential buyers, it would look at making improvements to its long-
range A350 jet, which competes with Boeing”s new 787 Dreamliner. “I
want to note that Airbus listens to its customers,” Gustav Hubert, the
Airbus chief executive, told reporters at company headquarters in
Toulouse, France. His comments came after Chew Choon Seng, the
chief executive of Singapore Airlines, said last week that Airbus should
have gone ahead and designed a new fuselage for the A350, since it
had already designed a new wing, tail and cockpit for it. Singapore
Airlines is expected to announce a

BAE Sells its stake in Airbus.

As the $300m (£170m) behemoth glides into land — the trial flight will check whether Heathrow’s congested taxiways and terminals can accommodate the new plane — those watching could be forgiven for feeling a swell of pride. … While there appears to be no immediate threat to those jobs, aerospace experts say that over time the contracts are likely to leak away to France and Germany, and the skills and expertise are likely to go with them. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2095-2124890,00.html

Airbus warned on jet”s design

AIRBUS has been urged to redesign its planned A350 midsize widebody
jet or risk getting badly beaten by rival Boeing”s competing 787
Dreamliner, according to reports from America. Steven Udvar-Hazy, chief
executive of International Lease Finance Corporation, is said to have
called on Airbus to scrap its plan for the A350, the wings for which are to
be made in North Wales. The A350, based on the fuselage of Airbus”
existing A330 jet, is being developed as a rival to Boeing”s hot-selling
787. Speaking at an industry conference, Mr Udvar-Hazy said Airbus
could risk being stuck with a 25% market share in the midsized widebody
segment of the market if it
