Boeing’s first 747-8 Intercontinental called RC001 is finally starting systems checkouts called gauntlets.
The tests will consist of:
- A series of ground tests.
- A closed loop simulation system called the Flight Emulation Test that simulates real flight.
- A factory gauntlet which will simulate the resposiveness and functionality of aircraft systems.
Things should start picking for the passenger variant of the 747-8 soon and we should see more outside shots of the aircraft.
